Just 2 measurements — your sofa’s Length and Height — then count your sections below.
Measure the full width along the base — from the outer edge of one arm to the outer edge of the other. Match it to the Sofa length on each card (inches + cm).
Measure from the floor to the top of the backrest — under 33″ picks a 71″ cover, 33″–40″ picks a 90″ cover.
Now open the Recommended sizes tab, find your sofa type, and read the size for your height. For L & U shapes, measure each section and grab that many covers.

We got tired of throws that shredded in a week, so we made our own, engineered for one job: taking a cat's claws without wrecking the sofa or looking like a cover.
Woven so tight her claws can't hook or pull a single thread loose. No snags, no holes.
A dense layer that absorbs the scratching, so nothing reaches the sofa underneath.
Plush and skin-gentle, so she'd rather nap here than claw anywhere else.
It looks like a designer throw, so your living room feels finished, not cat-proofed.
A regular throw and a SofaHug look alike for about two seconds, until your cat shows up. Here's the difference.
Real questions from our comments. Honest answers, before you buy.
That's the problem with a light blanket — it shifts the second you move and bunches into a ball at one end. SofaHug is mid-heavy and the grip version has a silicone-backed underside, so it stays flat and in place through sitting, getting up, and cat zoomies, even on leather. No constant readjusting.
The chenille is woven dense and flat, so there's nothing for claws to hook into. It won't stop a cat from being a cat, but it takes the scratching without shredding, which is exactly what a regular blanket can't do. And it's machine washable, so it keeps looking good wash after wash.
Cats tend to scratch where they already have a favorite spot, usually the sofa arms and sides. SofaHug covers exactly those zones. Most cats lose interest once the loose fabric gives them nothing satisfying to dig into, and a scratching post nearby gives them a better target.
Hair sits on the surface instead of weaving in, so a quick lint roll or shake clears it. When it needs a real clean, the whole thing goes in the washing machine.
We won't say "100% waterproof," because that's the claim that's burned you before. The spills & accidents version has a water-resistant inner layer: liquid beads on top and wipes up before it reaches the sofa. Then you wash it.
It's a throw, not a fitted cover, so there's no exact measuring or sizing chart to stress over. One SofaHug covers a standard sofa; for a large sectional or L-shape, most people use two and overlap them. Tell us your setup and we'll point you to the right size.
We ship worldwide. Orders are processed in 1 to 3 business days and arrive in about 7 to 15 business days, with tracking on every order. Free shipping on orders over $150.

Real reviews from cat owners who stopped hiding their sofa.
I bought 2 of these for Chairs & 1 for Sofa.. Love the colour & pattern & softness...
I was sure it'd just be a blanket. It's heavy, it grips, and it covers the arms, which is all my cat ever went for.
My cat jumps on it constantly and it doesn't move an inch. First cover that actually stayed.
Guests think it's a designer throw. No idea it's protecting a sofa my cat used to shred.
The covers at e a great size and great colours! Very serviceable and great quality! I just have to learn how to set on lounge properly, so as it’s neat! Great buy!!
This arrived this week and I love it. Beautiful fabric and it looks great in our lounge. Going to have to buy another one!
I absolutely love these lounge covers. We have cats and finally found a cover that sits right over our lounge.
