Don't I have to fix it every time I get up?
That's the problem with a light blanket — it shifts the second you move and bunches into a ball at one end. SofaHug is mid-heavy and the grip version has a silicone-backed underside, so it stays flat and in place through sitting, getting up, and cat zoomies, even on leather. No constant readjusting.
My cat destroys everything. Will it really hold up?
The chenille is woven dense and flat, so there's nothing for claws to hook into. It won't stop a cat from being a cat, but it takes the scratching without shredding, which is exactly what a regular blanket can't do. And it's machine washable, so it keeps looking good wash after wash.
Won't my cat just claw somewhere else?
Cats tend to scratch where they already have a favorite spot, usually the sofa arms and sides. SofaHug covers exactly those zones. Most cats lose interest once the loose fabric gives them nothing satisfying to dig into, and a scratching post nearby gives them a better target.
Does cat hair stick to it?
Hair sits on the surface instead of weaving in, so a quick lint roll or shake clears it. When it needs a real clean, the whole thing goes in the washing machine.
Is it actually waterproof?
We won't say "100% waterproof," because that's the claim that's burned you before. The spills & accidents version has a water-resistant inner layer: liquid beads on top and wipes up before it reaches the sofa. Then you wash it.
Will it fit my sofa? I have a big L-shape.
It's a throw, not a fitted cover, so there's no exact measuring or sizing chart to stress over. One SofaHug covers a standard sofa; for a large sectional or L-shape, most people use two and overlap them. Tell us your setup and we'll point you to the right size.
